Geelani paid rich tributes to Khawaja Sona ullah & Sufi Gh Mohammad on their death anniversaries | KNO

Srinagar, November 26 (KNO) : Syed Ali Geelani while paying rich tributes to late Khawaja Sona ullah Bhat and late Sufi Gh Mohammad on their death anniversaries, said that they were legend par excellence and their contribution for journalism, social, literary works and towards supressed people is a shining part of our history. Recalling services of late Khawaja Sona ullah, Geelani said he was father of journalism and he had several chances to meet him at his residence, where he was living in complete isolation. Geelani said that after his release from Jodhpur jail, he couldn’t meet late Khawaja because of his busy schedule and on the sudden demise of my daughter late Khawaja Sanaullah visited my residence. It was our last meeting and since then we couldn’t get any chance to meet in person, said Geelani. Geelani while hailing his services towards society, said that his style and political approach was unique and distinct and he was very sympathetic and friendly towards oppressed people in state. Syed Ali Geelani said that late Khawaja had a commanding knowledge of his profession and highlighted the plight of supressed and subjugated nation in a unique and apt style and when nation revolted against the state of oppression, couldn’t match the standards and aspirations, visualized by late Khawaja. Haling services rendered by late Sufi Gh Mohammad, Geelani said that he was very affectionate and close to me and he will be remembered for pleading the case of supressed nation, saying that he played a great and impressive role to highlight the sufferings of distressed people in state.(KNO)
